About Us

Hello!  We are Brian and Kimberly.  Thank you for taking the time to get to know more about us.   

Brian grew up in Idaho Falls with his 4 siblings.  Growing up he enjoyed camping, snowmobiling and being a manager over the basketball teams.  He served a two year mission for our church in upstate New York. Then came home and worked for BMC.  He met Kim in 2005 and was married later that year.  After 3 years of marriage we were blessed to have our daughter Lexey in our life.  Brian is a wonderful father whose world revolves around his family.  Brian works very hard and is a great provider for our family.  After work each day you will find Brian either wrestling with Lexey on the floor, taking her to play at the playground, or holding Lexey in his arms as he rocks her to sleep.  

Kimberly was raised in Idaho Falls with 3 siblings as well.  Growing up Kimberly was involved in dance and clubs.  After high school Kimberly attended college at Utah State University, and finished her schooling up at Webber State University.  In addition to attending school full-time she worked 1, and sometimes 2, jobs so she could graduate with no debt.  Kimberly graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Social Work.  After getting married she worked for 9 years as a Service Coordinator for people with developmental Disabilities.  There is nothing she enjoy more than spending time with "Her little girl " (Lexey).  Brian and I both enjoy having family time going with Lexey camping, fishing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, hiking, to the zoo, reading her stories, or taking her on bike rides, she could not be happier. 

Lexey is a 6 year old girl that can play in the dirt and yet loves the girl stuff like make up and doing her nails!  She loves playing outside with cousins and family.  She loves to learn and constantly amazes us with the things she tells us. She loves all types of music and can constantly be seen dancing and singing.  She adores spending time with her parents whether it is helping us outside planting the garden or going to family trips.  She brightens our day when she tells us daily mom and dad I love you more than anything.

As a family we love the outdoors, family vacations, camping, snowmobiling, four wheeling, swimming, going to concerts, biking, hiking, and spending lots of quality time with each other.  We always look for community activities to participate in.

We feel there are more little ones that are meant to join our family and hope to find them soon.  If you know anyone who is contemplating adoption we would appreciate if you would pass along our contact information.  Thank you in advance for your help and prayers.

Kim and I have been busy working. We have been dieting. Brian won his work contest of weight loss and Kim won or family contest of weight loss. So we both are doing well. We went snowmobiling once and the snow was excellent as we went up to fish creek up towards black canyon loop. We had fun and I got stuck about 5 times. We have been cleaning up around our house. We have also been playing some games with Randy, we went to the movie:"The Vow", and "The Man on the ledge". We went bowling on one Monday night for F.H.E. and all had fun. It was Lexey's first time bowling and she was a good cheerleader to everyone. She was able to bowl with an 8 lb ball.

Lexey sure enjoys going to her Grandpa Martins, Aunt Sarah's, and Grandpa Beck's and spending time with family and friends. She has had some of her cousins come and spend a night at our house a litttle bite ago. She sure loves going to church and primary and being in the sunbeam class. Lexey went to the dentist for the first time. She did very well and had no cavities. she was able to do her whole exam besides the x-rays. Lexey said it was fun and wanted to go back again.

Lexey went to the Dentist for the first time yesturday and she did very well she had no cavities and her teeth looked great. the Dentist said their was good spacing between her teeth and she looks like a healthy little girl:)

We went to Disney Land & Califorina Adventure and had a blast with the Martins. Went to the the beach and the L.A. Temple. Was quite a trip in our van. We a client still living with us. We have gone camping about 7 times with our trailer and we had a fun time. We went fishing twice this year and had a blast along with 4 wheeling. Enjoyed going snowmobiling a little bite as well. We have also enjoyed all the Reunions and get togethers this past year. We have went to many garage sales.
Brian is still working at BMC in the yard, delievery, sales. He has been helping in the Primary with a class here and there. Also a District Leader as well.
Kim is still working at S.O.A.R. as a target service Cordinator. She is also has the calling as Den Leader. Talked at her moms funeral. Helps her dad alot.
Lexey 3 and is a fire cracker. She sang Families Can Be Together Forever at Kim's moms funeral. And did a very good job. She loves Nursey. Lexey loves spending time with her relatives and Grandpas. She has been enjoying having sleep overs with cousins.
We love you all and look forward to seeing you in the year ahead.

Three new fun times with the Martin's

This is at the Hammon Family Reunion with Brian's family we went to THE RIOIT ZONE. Brian and I were able to ride the go carts is was alot of fun. There was a lot of good food and it was nice to see Brian's relatives that we haven't been able to spend time with for a while!!


Our Friends came to visit us From Boise and this is Lexey's second Date with her Boyfriend Trace!! They got to play with toys, before it was bed time and they had to part and go night night!!


Brian's friend's where moving to Arizona and we went to there going away party in Ririe at Twin Lakes.

The Brian Martin Family Newsletter July 2009

We have not written in blog for a while so we will just get you up to speed. We have a new person living with us his name is Randy and he has a room in our basement. Randy has lived with us since March. We enjoy him in our home he enjoys many of the same activities we participate in.
Lexey has turn one years old she grabbed the cake and stuck her face right inside. Lexey is the light of our lives and she is doing so much better than we ever imagined. Lexey has been crawling and standing on furniture, she is saying mama, waving bye, and making all kinds of noses. She has her date night with her aunt Sarah every Tuesday night. She is our little fire cracker. She sure keeps us busy.
We have been camping on Memorial Day weekend with Brian’s family it was fun we went four wheeling to pass lake and got a few fish. Thanks to LJ, Sarah, Kimball, and Justin for all the food and fun.
We went to Kim’s work party at Blacktail reservoir it was lots of fun we all went tubing even Lexey. She did not enjoy it as much as us we did, but the boat ride was lots of fun for Lexey. She fell right to sleep. After the work party we went to our ward campout. We played freebee and ate good food. We went four wheeling the next day.
Now we are in July finally. We will start with the fourth of July of course. We went to Kim dad’s ward breakfast it was good. We than went to the parade were Lexey learned to wave. Our friends came up from Utah Holly and Alex where they got engaged at our house. Kim took some pictures of them that they may use for there announcement picture. We than had a Free Hamburger and fries at Bish’s RV and visited with our friends Patty and Steve Willie. We got the items together to share at the BBQ at LJ’s house and went over and eat and enjoyed the company. We watched the fire works at a different place this year right by the bridge and it was good, but we like the other place better because you don’t have to look up so far. It was a little like watching a movie to close. It would have been better if we laid on the ground. Lexey sleep in the first 2 mins of the show. She had mufflers on so her ear wouldn’t get hurt. We than, set off a few fire works of our own. It was fun.
We went the following weekend to Kemmerer Wyoming camping with Brian’s friend from his mission. It was a crazy first night. Lexey got sick for the first time since we had her home and we had to go to the ER. Brian had to find a nurse or someone because the ER was empty it was much different then the crazy hospital we have to go to in Idaho Falls. They had to call a doctor in. Lexey ended up with crop and they gave her a steroid shot and told us that it was alright to take her back camping because the cold air would be good for her. We sleep at the Crosland’s house that night and went back camping the next day. We had to make sure she stayed away from the smoke of the fire because that can make her much worse. We went to big springs and got water right from the mountain and took some pictures. Brian, Randy, and Lexey went on a hike to Alice Lake. Kim wanted to go, but she sprained her ankle the night before. Kim stayed back and made all of us tie die shirts. It was fun. Brian went paint balling and he was one of the last ones standing. He thought it was fun but really hot and there were lots of bugs. Brian and I won a couple of rounds of horse shoes. We had a lot of fun.
The next Friday we went to a Chucker’s game it was BMC west night. Randy invited his girlfriend Angela, Brian invited Aaron’s girlfriend’s kids to come with us, Kim invited her boss, and Lexey invited her grandpa Beck. We had a good night and Brian’s guest ended up staying the whole night at our house. We had four girls and one boy extra. We played a few games and watched PS2 games. Kim went to bed at 1:30 and the rest stayed up until about 3:00 AM.
We have had a good month and can’t wait for seeing all of you at next month reunions.
